Linc and Andrew recorded live and in-person for the first time since the pandemic was declared in March. They freestyled on the presidential bid of Kanye West and the potential for the dopest First Family in American history. They also tackled the growing cancel culture and lack of civil discourse over celebrities like J.K. Rowling and their controversial opinions. Lastly, in the wake of racial sensitivity in North America, they explored the pressure on sports teams with Indigenous names and logos to adapt to the 21st century.

Update: On July 13, the NFL’s Washington Redskins have committed to changing their team name. On July 14, there were unsubstantiated rumours that Kanye ended his presidential bid that have since been refuted (he’s officially registered in Oklahoma).

Andrew welcomes his brother, Roger to the pod to join him and Linc (brother from another mother) in discussing the racial tensions, protests, and calls for police accountability and restructuring ongoing throughout the United States, Canada and the world as a result of George Floyd’s murder at the hands of the Minneapolis Police. They reminisce on their experiences growing up as the children of immigrants in Toronto, offer commentary on the social media and corporate response, and talk about the politics at play in bringing about real change for black people and other visible minorities in western society.
